Job Profile:          E-commerce & Database Administrator
Reports to:           Marketing & Direct Sale Manager

Responsibilities
The role of E-commerce & Database administrator is to support the implementation and further development of the e-commerce strategy and to help manage the loading of all rates into the system.

E-commerce

  • Support the implementation of the overall marketing strategy.
  • Further develop the ecommerce strategy to work towards achievement of the targets as agreed by senior management.
  • Responsible for the Avis Ireland website:
  • --- Ensuring all offers are clearly communicated and promotions tracked.
  • --- Ensure content is updated and work with agency on search engine optimisation.
  • --- Continue to develop relevant link building.
  • --- Analysis of PPC campaigns, work with manager to ensure efforts are maximised.
  • Maximise the Avis international network - ensure all Irish promotions are present on key websites and updated as appropriate. Work closely with ecommerce managers in key countries for two-way effectiveness, promoting inbound and outbound business via websites, newsletters, joint promotions etc.
  • Responsible for the Avis Ireland newsletter - agree offers/issue / track
  • Day-to-Day management of social media channels (i.e. facebook)
  • Adhere to Avis brand guidelines so that all communication is maximised.
  • Carry out any other duties as required by the Marketing & Direct Sales Manager.

 

Database
  • Loading rate changes and checking rates are displaying correctly
  • Respond to any queries from all areas of business in relation to rate structure and conditions

 

Communication

  •  Regular updates on projects in development/ roll-out to ensure that spend and results are being met versus plans.
  •  Attend Avis Europe meetings as appropriate - ensure Avis Ireland is clearly visible within the network, and report on outcome of meetings.
