What's included in my quote
On any Avis vehicle in Ireland the figure we quote includes everything you need to get in the car and go. However, we do offer additional products (such as child seat) so you can fit the car hire to what you need.

When you make a booking in Ireland our quote includes:

- The cost of the actual vehicle, including unlimited mileage (in some countries this may be capped)
- Vehicle licence fee
- Any City or airport surcharge (an additional charge at premium locations where the rent is higher)
- VAT (or other applicable taxes if you're renting outside Ireland
- Collision Damage Cover (an excess applies)
- Vehicle Theft Cover (an excess applies)

Comparing Quotes
|
Once you have selected your pick-up location and rental dates, the next screen gives you the full list of available vehicles. Once you select the vehicle, the next screen gives you the detail of your quote and the optional extras. You will see exactly what is included in your quote. This will vary from one car rental company to another and many companies don't include the location surcharge for example (approx €30) which is a mandatory charge.

If you book on the US website, www.avis.com, you may find that Collision Damage Cover and Vehicle Theft Cover are not included, as some American credit cards provide insurance for car hire.
Please note however, that it is the drivers' responsibility to check if the credit card does provide insurance. Ireland is quite often excluded from cover as is the case for American Express, MasterCard and Visa.
If you wish to rent a car, without the Collision Damage Insurance, then you will be billed directly for any damage to the car. Avis doesn't handle any claims with the credit card company.

What's not included in your quote:
|
- Fuel - You'll have to pay for your petrol, so read about our fuel options to see which is the most convenient way to pay for you.
- Additional Drivers - Only the driver named on the rental agreement is covered as standard, but you can add extra named drivers for €9.50 per driver per day, with a maximum charge of €59.50 per driver.
- Child and booster seats are bookable online and once booked they then will be included in the price quoted.
- Products you might want to add when you come to pick up your car include Super Collision Damage Insurance, which reduces your excess, and Sat Nav (from major Irish, UK and European locations)

Declining Collision Damage Insurance/Theft Protection
CDI (Collision Damage Insurance) and Theft Protection insurance reduce your financial liability for damage or theft of the vehicle.
By declining these insurances you are taking responsibility to arrange your own cover and assume full financial liability up to the value of the vehicle for losses arising as a result of loss or damage to the vehicle.
We recommend that you fully understand the conditions of cover provided by your credit card company when using your card for insurance cover.
If you decide not to purchase CDI and Theft Protection you will be required to pay a liability deposit of EUR €3,000 at the start of your renyal using your credit card. An administration fee od EUR €30.00 applies for use of this service.
Paying by Debit Card
If you are using a debit card when renting the vehicle, Avis's Super Collision Damage Insurance must be purchased.
