Yes, you can subject to availability and the following restrictions
Pay Now Bookings
a) You can change your booking up to 24 hours prior to picking up your vehicle via this website or at any time up until the time of the rental by calling us at +353 21 428 1111
b) If you change a booking and the charges for the Rental Services are greater than the face value of your voucher, you will be charged the difference at Avis' then-current rates and the additional amount (including any additional taxes) will be payable at the time of modification.
c) If the cost of the changed booking is less than the cost of the face value of the voucher, NO REFUND will be made.
Pay at Station Bookings
a) You can change your booking at any time up to picking up your vehicle via this website or by calling us at +353 21 428 1111
Our policy is slightly different depending on whether you opt to 'Pay Now' or 'Pay at Station'
If you cancel the same day the booking was made no cancellation fee applies.
If you cancel up to 3 days prior to picking up a €50 / £40 cancellation fee applies.
If you don't pick up the car or don't cancel 3 days prior to the pickup date the full amount of the prepayment will be charged.
Pay at Station
If you do not cancel the booking and fail to pickup the car a €50 / £40 non-cancellation fee applies.
In the unfortunate event you are invloved in an accident while renting with Avis Ireland you should:
Call the police (Gardai). This must always be done if anyone is injured.
Take photographs of the vehicles and the accident scene, if possible.
Contact your nearest Avis office or our 'On Rent Support' helpdesk on 1890 45 55 65
Do not admit any fault relating to the accident.
Do not give money to anybody.
Do not drive the vehicle unless you are sure it is safe.
As the driver of the car you are responsible for paying all tolls and fines. If you are driving in Dublin be aware there is barrier free tolling in place on the M50 ring road.
In cases where Avis Ireland are invloved in the administration of fines a €30 fee will be charged to the renter.
Sign up to Avis Preferred with an online account and we will retrieve your rental details the next time you sign in.
You will also receive priority service at Avis Preferred locations and unlock benefits such as money off vouchers and free rentals through our loyalty rewards scheme.
It's really up to your personal choice, by paying up front you can often make a saving versus the pay at station price. Either way you will be required to present your credit card when picking up the car.
An AWD (Avis Worldwide Discount) number is a code which will tell our systems to apply a specific discount or rate. If you have an AWD you can enter it on the booking form of the website.
